Agricultural Research (NASA & USDA)
Cotton

Cotton yield studies using Multispectral Satellite Imagery acquired at different dates of cotton growing season are analyzed as part of this NASA remote sensing project with Agricultural & Biological Engineering Dept., Mississippi State University. Landsat TM images are analyzed with different combinations - images of different wavelengths (bands) of same date, and similar/different band images from varying dates - to identify appropriate band/date combination to predict cotton yield.

Similar analyses methods are used in pest control prescription studies with the USDA. spacer
