provides high resolution (more detailed) satellite ortho-imagery and ortho-photography.
1-meter resolution IKONOS imagery is the best resolution satellite
imagery available in the wolrd. For regional applications, 5-meter resolution
imagery from IRS (Indian Remote Sensing Satellite), and 30-meter
Landsat imagery are vailable. 1-meter IKONOS panchromatic
(black and white) imagery merged with IKONOS 4-meter multi-spectral
imagery provides 1-meter pan-sharpened color imagery useful for delineating
features in color. Overlay of satellite imagery of different dates help
identify areas of growth and to assess damage during disasters.
