MapSAT's
detailed mapping at property-level, using high resolution photography /imagery,
makes it useful for assessing property taxes; easy update of property subdivisions;
routing vehicles for emergency response, product delivery routing, school-bus
routing; real estate applications and disaster management. The property
boundaries in the display are created from hard copy maps using ortho-rectified
satellite imagery control. Each property parcel has attribute information
in the database along with the pictures of houses hotlinked. These hotlinked
photos provide valuable information on the house for the emergency crew
prior to their arrival at the scene. Similarly, property deed documents
were hotlinked to corresponding parcels for easy retrieval and printing.
