Questions Jesus Asks

Jesus taught as much through His questions as His answers — disarming His opponents, drawing out faith, and revealing the heart (“But whom say ye that I am?” Matthew 16:15). Grouped below by who He is addressing.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Matthew 5:13

Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. Luke 6:42
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Luke 6:46
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. Luke 8:25
