A LETTER FROM HEAVEN CONCERNING MY RECENT DEATH
				by Wes Brewer

WORDS OF COMFORT

If you are reading this letter, that means that I am no longer
with you. But please don't be discouraged. If I am
no longer here with you, it is my Father's will, and I can say
that His grace is and was sufficient to take me through death.

Jesus said:

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing?
and one of them shall not fall on the ground
	without your Father. Matthew 10:29

From a human perspective, death may seem a terrible thing, but
for the Children of God, death is the graduation of life, and
should be a celebration.

The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart:
and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the
righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds,
each one walking in his uprightness.
	Isaiah 57:1-2

The death of God's saints is precious in His sight:

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
	Psalm 116:15

And please know now that I am with the Lord, rejoicing in His presence,
and feel no pain or sadness.

We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be
absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
	2 Corinthians 5:6

and know that I died unto the Lord:

For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die,
we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die,
	we are the Lord's.
	Romans 14:8

And know that I have finally found complete rest and satisfaction:

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness:
I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
	Psalm 17:15

WHY DID I HAVE TO DIE LIKE THIS?

Since I have followed the Lord, it is been my greatest prayer and
desire to know Him and to be identified with Him, even in His
suffering and death:

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection,
and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made
	conformable unto his death.
	Philippians 3:10

And when I read the Scriptures, I find that it is our highest duty
and calling to suffer for His sake:

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ,
	not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
	Philippians 1:29

and to take up our cross daily:

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever
will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world,
and lose himself, or be cast away?
	Luke 9:23-25

Peter wrote:

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults,
ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer
for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered
for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered,
he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth
righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body
on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto
righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
	1 Peter 2:20-24

AN ADMONITION TO SERVE THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART

I want all of my family and friends to know that I love you.
My greatest desire for you is to know and to serve the Lord
Jesus Christ, with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength.
Jesus said:

	...seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
	Matthew 6:33

Make it your very first priority. Because we are all appointed to die one day.
And after death, we will all give account of ourselves to God.
Please consider your lives and your time. Are you seeking the
things of this world? I pray that you would turn to the living
God. In Him is all hope and comfort and purpose for living. Your
very purpose in this life is to bring glory to Him.

	One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my
life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his
	temple.
	Psalm 27:4

And I hope that you will offer your lives as living sacrifices to the
Lord

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy,
acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
	Romans 12:1

And my last hope for you is that you will diligently study God's word,
so that you may learn to fear Him and walk in His statutes.
Hear it, read it, study it, and memorize it, then meditate on it,
so that you might be able to do it, and then teach it to others.
His words are living and active (Heb. 4:12), and will help you
and give you comfort (Romans 15:4).

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of
his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you
an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
	Acts 20:32

Please do not be discouraged today, but become soldiers of God,
living for Him with every fiber in your body. And someday soon
I hope we will be rejoicing together in the throne room of God.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are
	and were created.
	Revelation 4:11
