There was a man that walked this earth 2000 years ago claiming to be God; no serious historian would refute this. He was either crazy or was really God. He told his followers that he would rise from the dead. Herein lies the truth of Christianity. After three days, he either: a. rose from the dead. Since his body was missing on the third day, either 1. his body was moved or all kinds of other explanations 2. or, he really was resurrected. If he came back to talk to his disciples, he would have had to have come back to life, right? History also tells us that there were many Jews that started to believe in Christ after they had found out that Jesus had been resurrected. Also, the followers of Jesus were transformed from being cowards to being fearless men who would all die for what they believed. If Christ did not reappear to them, what would have made this transformation. Either it was a rumor, or he really had been resurrected, you decide. But Jesus has affected more people in this world than any other in history. b. did not raise from the dead The truth is not that we have made up a God because we needed an emotional crutch. The truth is that we were made to want and need a God.
